Rockwall ISD Education Foundation, Inc. Innovative Teaching Grants
The Rockwall ISD Education Foundation, Inc. invites Rockwall ISD teachers to
write Innovative Teaching Grants each semester to fund classroom projects that
might otherwise be impossible due to budgetary constraints. Over the past eleven
semesters, the Foundation has funded 148 grants, totaling $218,479.70 and
affecting more than 32,000 Rockwall ISD students! Sarah Cook, along with Kathy
Krikorian, was a 2006 recipient for a group grant entitled, “Trunks of the
Past--Relive the Moment,” Rockwall High School. The effects of that grant and
many others often extend past the semester awarded, thus touching the lives of
many students over the years. The Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt public
corporation created to enhance education in the Rockwall ISD through fostering
creative and innovative approaches to education with private grants and
community involvement.
