Rockwall ISD Education Foundation, Inc.

The Rockwall ISD Education Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit, tax-exempt public corporation created to enhance education in the Rockwall Independent School District through fostering creative and innovative approaches to education with private grants and community involvement.

In years past, a number of local business and community leaders who served on the Strategic Plan Committee and Revenue Enhancement Committee expressed an interest in creating an educational foundation to benefit the Rockwall Independent School District. To meet this need, Rockwall ISD Education Foundation, Inc. was established in October 2003. The Foundation receives funds from individuals, businesses, service and civic organizations, and private and corporate foundations interested in funding worthwhile educational programs and benefiting from the tax advantages available through this type of philanthropic giving.

A dream come true for many, the Foundation helps the District provide enriched educational opportunities through Innovative Teaching Grants awarded during fall and spring semesters each year. Because the Foundation is committed to the special instructional programs which otherwise would not exist due to budgetary constraints, the beneficiaries of the Foundation are naturally the students of the Rockwall Independent School District.
