Century Club
The mission of the Rockwall ISD Education Foundation, Inc. is to generate and
distribute resources to Rockwall ISD to enrich and expand programs needed to
meet the District’s stated mission of excellence in education. The Century Club
is a vital component to the mission. Century Club Members help fund Innovative
Teaching Grants which are awarded to RISD teachers each semester. The grants
provide support for programs and learning opportunities beyond the RISD budget.
Innovative Teaching Grants recognize concepts and plans which stimulate the
learning process and provide tools and techniques that reach beyond the
traditional classroom activities.
There are
four Categories of Century Club Members:
Alumni – Alumni of Rockwall High School, Rockwall-Heath High School or
Quest Academy are encouraged to join the Foundation and to support the “Class of
___.” Memorials or Honorariums may be made through the Century Club.
Community Supporter – Individual, organization or business supporting the
Education Foundation have become a vital segment and that participation is a key
to the success.
Grandparent -- Individuals or family units who have had or presently have
grandchildren or great-grandchildren in the Rockwall ISD schools are invited to
join. A Grandparent Tea is held each September with Members and friends invited.
RISD Employee – Each teacher, administrator, staff and RISD support
personnel are invited to participate (see the payroll
deduction form below if you prefer monthly installments)
Membership in the Century Club is secured by making an annual tax-deductible
gift of $100 to the Education Foundation. The contribution may be from an
individual, family unit, organization, civic group, or business.
In recognition of annual participation, Members receive:
• Invitation to the Annual Celebration held in February to honor the teachers
who are awarded Innovative Teaching Grants
• Recognition in the Celebration program
• Acknowledgement in the Annual Report
• Member decal to be displayed on an automobile, home or office window
The $100 is a tax deductible gift, as the Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3)
non-profit corporation. The gift may be sent directly to the Education
Foundation or via the PayPal payment process.
The Century Club assists the Rockwall ISD Education Foundation, Inc. in:
• facilitating student achievement and skill development
• recognizing and encouraging staff excellence
• expanding community involvement.
